About

Biography

Movement and body awareness has been an intrinsic part of my life from an early age. I studied a BA Honours Degree in Dance and Performing Arts at The University of Brighton and since have been aware of the vital connection between breath and movement. I discovered Ashtanga yoga at 'Laban Dance School' (London) and was immediately hooked and inspired by the powerful combination of flowing dynamic postures and the connection to meditative breath and the joy it brings.

I have been practicing Ashtanga yoga and variations of vinyasa and hatha since 19 years old on a regular basis. I found it a massive benefit to my focus whilst performing gigs as acomedy actress in my twenties and decided to turn my hand to it as a career, discovering just how beneficial it was to incorporate it more whole heartedly as a lifestyle. I trained as an Ashtanga Vinyasa (primary series) teacher in India, 2013, under the watchful eye of inspirational Yogi Kamal, at the 'Tattva Yoga Shala' (www.tattvaayoga.com) Rishikesh, India.

Practicing the disciplined traditional mysore practice at the foothills of Himalayas I learned the the deeper philosophy behind yoga, asana, breath and meditation and combine deeper insight in my classes as well as strong adjustments and a physically challenging practice.

I Have been teaching yoga internationally since 2013 (8 years now) hosting retreats in Goa (India), Cyprus, Sardinia & teaching for studios and wellness centres in Sri Lanka, Mumbai India, Goa and predominanty in London.
